Judgment

ORDER Date : 05.01.2024

¶1The instant writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner challenging the advertisement dated 28.09.2023 on the ground that the said advertisement has been issued only for filling up the post of Anganwadi Worker on promotional basis and not by way of direct recruitment.

¶2This Court had duly taken note of the submission of Mrs. A. Talukdar, the learned Standing counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondents as well as also taken note of the notification dated 04.03.2013 by which Government of Assam in the Social Welfare Department have issued certain guidelines for the purpose of promotion of Anganwadi helpers who have been in continuous service for a period of 10 years and above to the post of Anganwadi Worker. Further to that, it is also seen that the said advertisement was issued in pursuance to the direction issued by the Director of Woman and Child Development, Assam dated 13.09.2023 whereby the Child Development Project Page No.# 3/3 Officer was directed to advertise for holding interview for upgradation/promotion of the Anganwadi Helper to Anganwadi Worker by strictly observing all the formalities as per the Government notification dated

04.03.2013.

¶3Taking into account the above, this Court therefore does not find any reason to interfere with the impugned advertisement. Consequently, the instant writ petition is devoid of any merits for which the same stands dismissed.

¶4The notification along with the documents so submitted by Mrs. A. Talukdar, the learned Standing counsel during the course of hearing is kept on record and marked with the letter "X".
