Mr. S. J. Sarmah, learned counsel for the petitioners, has submitted that the present proceeding was instituted, praying for a direction upon the respondent authorities for conducting the elections for constitution of All Assam Sonowal Kachari Students' Union.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that during the pendency of the present proceeding; the respondent authorities have conducted the elections, in question, and accordingly, he has submitted that no further live issue arises for consideration in the matter.

Accordingly, in view of the submission as made above by Mr. Sarmah, learned counsel for the petitioners; this writ petition stands dismissed as having become infructuous.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
