Surruz Zamal @ Surz and Anr v. The State of Assam

. 2024 Heard Mr. T. Chutia, learned counsel for the petitioners Surruz Zamal @ Surz, and Shahar Ali, who have filed this application under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for pre-arrest bail in connection with Sonapur P.S. Case No. 221/2023 under Section 379/411/34 IPC read with Section 11(a)(b)(d) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act, 1960, read with Section 13(1)/14 of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021. The petitioners are on interim bail vide order darted 02.11.2023. Mr. B. Sarma, learned Addl. P.P. has submitted that charge sheet has already been submitted by the police vide C.S. No. 212/2023 dated 29.11.2023. In view of the above, the petitioners are directed to appear before the learned trial court within 20 days from today with an appropriate bail application, which may be considered by the court below as per merits of the case and in accordance with law.
