The appellant, namely, Ejaz Ahmed is present along with Ms. Tinlung, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. D. Das, learned counsel for the appellant. Mr. Nayan Choudhury, Hub In-Charge, Appeal and Specialized Claims, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Ltd. is also present.

¶2Both the parties have jointly submitted that an award of Rs.1,74,173/- (Rupees one lakh seventy four thousand one hundred seventy three only) was passed vide order and award dated 25.07.2023, passed by the learned Member, MACT, Goalpara in MAC Case No.392/2019. After negotiated settlement, the parties have agreed that in addition to the award, a further sum of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakh only) would be the full and final settlement of all the claims of the appellant.

¶3Accordingly, the matter is settled on compromise in terms of the pre-settlement/compromise slip for the National Lok Adalat, which is made as a part of record.

¶4Both the parties shall put their signature in the pre-settlement/compromise slip as token of acceptance for the settlement.

¶2Accordingly, the Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Ltd. shall deposit the additional amount of Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees three lakh only) in favour of the appellant/claimants before the MACT, Goalpara within a period of 30 (thirty) days from the date of the this settlement order, failing which the Page No.# 3/3 amount shall carry interest @ 9% per annum till the date of deposit.

¶5On such deposit being made, the MACT, Goalpara shall disburse the said amount in favour of the claimants/appellants on satisfaction of his identity.

¶6On furnishing proof of the deposit of the entire settlement amount, the Registry shall release the statutory deposit made by the respondents.

¶7The matter is disposed of in this Lok Adalat.
