¶2The applicant as the writ petitioner has preferred the connected writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 6193/2022 seeking inter alia compensation from the respondents therein due to damages caused to the landed properties of the applicant-writ petitioner purportedly due to hazardous uses while carrying out survey for extraction of crude oil in the vicinity of the applicant-petitioner's landed properties. The instant interlocutory application has been preferred by the applicant-writ petitioner seeking impleadment of - 'M/s Advent Oilfield Services Private Ltd. Represented by Partha Pratim Boruah, a corporate office at 1103, Tower B, Millenium Plaza, Sector 27, Gurgaon 122008, Haryana, India' as party-respondent no. 6 in the connected writ petition on the premise that the proposed party-respondent was the contractor who was entrusted with the contract to carry out the survey for extraction of crude oil, by the opposite parties i.e. the respondent ONGC authorities.

¶3Ms. Baruah, learned counsel for the applicant-writ petitioner and Mr. Sharma, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate have no objection to the said prayer for impleadment.

¶4Having regard to the projections made on behalf of the applicant-writ Page No.# 5/5 petitioner in the aforesaid manner, this Court is of the considered view that M/s Advent Oilfield Services Private Ltd. appears to be a necessary party whose presence is necessary for adjudication of the issues involved in the connected writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 6193/2022. Accordingly, the instant interlocutory application is allowed.

¶5The applicant-writ petitioner shall file an amended Cause Title in terms of the Notification no. 79 dated 19.06.2023 before the Registry within 3 [three] days from today.

¶6The Registry shall carry out the necessary corrections in the cause-title of the connected writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 6193/2022 as well as in the CIS and thereafter, list the case for admission after a week.
