¶2The applicant herein, has preferred the instant interlocutory application seeking his impleadment as a party-respondent in the connected writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 6243/2023. The applicant has averred that he is the Secretary of M/s Dibru Dangari River Part-I Meen Samabay Samity Limited, which society is the writ petitioner in the connected writ petition.

¶3Mr. Banik, learned counsel appearing for the opposite party no. 1-writ petitioner and Mr. Rajkhowa, learned Standing Counsel, Co-operation Department appearing for the respondent nos. 2 – 4 have submitted that they have no objection if the prayer made in the instant interlocutory application is allowed.

¶4Having regard to the fact that the applicant is the Secretary of the Registered Cooperative Society who has instituted the connected writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 6243/2023, the presence of the applicant as a party-respondent in the connected writ petition appears necessary for adjudication of the issues involved in the writ petition. Accordingly, the interlocutory application is allowed.

¶5The office to cause the necessary correction in the cause-title in the connected writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 6243/2023 by impleadment of the applicant as a party-respondent no. 4 on filing of the amended cause-title by the applicant before the Registry in terms of the Notification no. 79 dated 19.06.2023.
