ORDER Date : 27-11-2024 Heard Mr. R.A. Mazumder, learned counsel for the writ petitioner. Also heard Mr. C. Baruah, learned standing counsel, AG(A&E), Assam who has produced a copy of the communication dated 13-06-2024 issued by the Addl. Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, P&RD Department, Assam to submit that a sum of Rs. 3,76,311/- as arrear salary payable to the petitioner has already been sanctioned by the Govt. and it is now for the disbursing authority/ concerned Treasury to disburse the amount to the petitioner. Mr. Baruah Page No.# 3/3 submits that save and except receiving copy of the sanction letter for necessary information and updating record, office of the AG(A&E) has no further role to play in the matter nor does AG(A&E) have any objection to the release of the amount in favour of the petitioner. Mr. S. Dutta, learned standing counsel, P&RD Department, Assam is present and supports the said submission of Mr. Baruah. In view of the above and as agreed to by Mr. Mazumder, learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition stands closed by granting liberty to the petitioner to move the appropriate authority for release of the amount. It is made clear that since the amount as mentioned above has already been sanctioned, the respondents will now take necessary steps for release of the same without undue delay. By retaining a copy of the communication dated 13-06-2024 in the record of this case, this writ petition stands disposed of.
