09.03.2024 This is an appeal filed by the appellant-Shriram General Insurance Co. Ltd. (for short Insurance Company) against the judgment and award dated

09.10.2023 passed by the learned Commissioner for Employee's Compensation, Golaghat in EC Case No. 3/2022 whereby an amount of Rs.21,43,681/- along with interest @ 12%, as compensation, was directed to be paid by the appellant-Insurance Company to the claimant-respondent. Shri Rajendra Dutta, Legal Manager of the Shriram General Insurance Company Ltd. and the claimant-Shri Dhruba Jyoti Duwarah along with his counsel, Shri Abdul Mazid are present today i.e., 09.03.2024 in the National Lok Adalat. The parties present before this Court jointly submit that the matter has been settled outside the Court and a lump sum amount of Rs.17,00,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakh) as full and final settlement has been agreed upon. In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the agreed amount of Rs.17,00,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakh) being the full and final settlement before the Workmen Compensation, Golaghat within a period of 45 days from today. Page No.# 3/3 The claimants would be at liberty to withdraw the aforesaid amount of Rs.17,00,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakh) on being properly identified by his learned counsel.
