ORDER

14.09.2024 The appeal has been filed by the appellant-claimant against the judgment and award dated 21.09.2019 passed by the Learned Member, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Goalpara in MAC Case No. 125/2018 praying for enhancement of the awarded amount of Rs.6,31,365/-.

¶2Shri A. Munin Choudhury, Regional Manager of the United India Insurance Company Ltd. (for short Insurance Company) and the claimant – Julkifil Alom @ SK MD Julkifil Alom along with his learned counsel, Shri D. Das are present today i.e., 14.09.2024 in the National Lok Adalat.

¶3The parties present before this Court jointly submit that the matter has been settled between the parties and an additional amount of Rs.1,40,000/- has been agreed upon.

¶4In view of the above, the appeal stands closed with a direction that the Insurance Company shall deposit the additional amount of Rs.1,40,000/- being the full and final settlement before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Goalpara within a period of 45 days from today.

¶5The claimant would be at liberty to withdraw the aforesaid amount on being properly identified by his learned counsel.
