29.01.2024 Heard Mr. Pfosekho Pfotte, learned counsel for the applicant. This is an interlocutory application filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for impleadment and amendment of the Cause title of the Crl.Pet./24/2023. Page No.# 3/3 Learned counsel for the applicant, Mr. Pfosekho Pfotte, submits that the Global Open University, Nagaland, is a necessary party to the Crl.Pet./24/2023 as the alleged money was alleged to have given to the petitioner by one Mr. Ao who was also an employee of the Global Open University, with the view to secure donation for the Global Open University, Nagaland, and hence, the University, represented by the Registrar, is necessary to be impleaded as a party respondent. Heard the learned counsel for the applicant, Mr. Pfosekho Pfotte and also perused the records. In view of the statement made in the application and submission made by the learned counsel for the applicant/petitioner, the prayer for impleadment of the Global Open University is allowed. Accordingly, "the Global Open University, Nagaland, represented by its Registrar, Sodzulhou Village, PO ARTC, NH-39, Chumoukedima, Nagaland", is impleaded as respondent No. 3 to the Crl.Pet./24/2023. Mr. Veto V. Zhimomi, learned Public Prosecutor, Nagaland is present on behalf of the respondent No. 1 and none represented the respondent No. 2, Sushil Singh. The applicant/petitioner shall take steps upon the newly impleaded respondent for service of notice through registered post with A/D within three (3) days from today. The petitioner shall also file amended Causetitle to the criminal petition and the Registry shall accordingly do the needful. With this, the interlocutory application is allowed and disposed of.
