13.09.2024 Heard Ms. Esther, learned counsel for the applicant. This is an application for impleadment of the new incumbents as respondent nos. 5 and 6 in COP(C)/39/2019. It is submitted that during the pendency of this contempt petition, the respondent no. 2, Shri Motsuthung Patton, IAS, Commissioner, Government of Nagaland and respondent no. 4, Shri Vikeyie Kenya, Home Commissioner, Government of Nagaland Kohima have been transferred from their respective posts and in their places Shri K.S. Anden Konyak has been posted as Commissioner, Government of Nagaland and Shri Vyasan R, as the Home Commissioner, Government of Nagaland. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the newly posted incumbents are necessary parties and they are the authorities responsible for carrying out the direction issued by this Hon'ble court. Hence prayed for their impleadment as respondent nos. 5 and 6 resepctively. The prayer is considered and allowed. Page No.# 3/3 Accordingly, Shri K.S. Anden Konyak, Commissioner, Government of Nagaland be impleaded as respondent no. 5 and Shri Vyasan R, Home Commissioner, Government of Nagaland be impleaded as respondent no.
