08.08.2024 Mrs. Dinari T Azyu, learned counsel appears for the appellant and Mr. A K Rokhum, learned counsel appears for the sole respondent. It is submitted by the parties that the matter was taken up before the Lok Adalat which held its sitting on

27.07.2024 (Saturday) wherein, the parties upon deliberating upon the matter came to a settlement. Accordingly, the Lok Adalat has recorded the settlement. The learned counsels submit that there is a typographical error in the award made by Page No.# 2/3 the Lok Adalat since the date shown is 27.08.2024 instead of 27.07.2024. Upon perusing the documents available on record, the date of the settlement appears to be 27.07.2024 and the date 27.08.2024 shown is only a typographical error. The appeal is, therefore, disposed of in terms of the settlement arrived at by the rival parties and as recorded by the Lok Adalat. The consensus/settlement arrived at which is in vernacular is abstracted hereunder:- "1. Pu Jeffrey Zohmingthanga hian Civil Suit No. 3/2023, Civil Judge (Sr. Division), Aizawl District-a a theh luh leh forgery chungchanga Lalbiaksanga laka criminal complaint a theh luhte chu withdraw a remti a. Pu Lalbiaksanga pawhin FAO 4/2024 hi withdraw a remti bawk.

¶2Pu Jeffrey Zohmingthanga in (building) hi Pu Lalbiaksanga hian kum 10 chuang dawr atan a lo luah tawh a. Chuvang chuan Pu Lalbiaksanga hian a in luah hi dawr atan sum tam tak sengin a lo chei bawl tawh a ni. Hetia Pu Lalbiaksangan Pu Jeffrey Zohmingthanga in hi a luah zui tawh dawn tak loh avangin Pu Jeffrey Zohmingthanga hian ngaihhrui nan Rs. 10,00,000 (cheng nuai sawm) chu August, 2024 chhungin pek a remti.

The parties are informed that the court fee, if any, paid by any of them shall be refunded.
