Heard Mr. T. Lalzekima, learned counsel for the applicants.

¶2This is an application under Order 1 Rule 10 r/w Section 151 CPC for impleadment of the new incumbent Er. Lalhriatpuia, Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl District, Aizawl as respondent No. 6 in the connected Contempt Case (C) No. 10 of 2023.

¶3The learned counsel for the applicants submits that during the pendency of the instant Contempt Petition (C) No. 10 of 2023, the instant respondent No. 5 Smt. Nazuk Kumar had left her position as Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl District and has been replaced by Sh. Er. Lalhriatpuia.

¶4As such, due to the change in incumbent with regards to the instant contempt case, it has become necessary to implead the new incumbent, i.e., Er. Lalhriatpuia as respondent No. 6 in order to adjudicate the matter on hand and in the interest of justice.

¶5It appears that Er. Lalhriatpuia has taken over the said post and as such, it is necessary and essential to implead Er. Lalhriatpuia, Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl District, Aizawl as an arrayed respondent in the present contempt petition for effective adjudication of the matter. Accordingly, the prayer is allowed. Page No.# 4/4

¶6As such, it is provided that Er. Lalhriatpuia, Deputy Commissioner, Aizawl District, Aizawl be impleaded as respondent No. 6 in the connected Contempt Case (C) No. 10 of 2023.

¶7Let the amended cause title be submitted to the Registry for doing the needful. The IA stands disposed of.
