29.10.2024 Heard Ms. Lalropari, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. Baby Laldinzuali, learned counsel for respondent No. 1 & 2 and Ms. Caroline K. Lungawipuii, learned counsel for respondent No. 5. Page No.# 3/3 The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that, though the respondent No. 1 & 2 have filed affidavit, and in their affidavit, it has been stated that an amount of Rs. 30,13,727/- has been sanctioned for payment in pursuant to the directions of this Court in WP(C) No. 25/2023. However she submits that the payment has not yet been made. On this, learned counsel for respondent No. 1 & 2 has submitted that she needs some time to get instructions regarding making of payment. The learned counsel for the respondent No.5 has on the other hand, submitted that though an amount of Rs. 30,13,727/- has been sanctioned, however, the rental compensation payable to the petitioners have been assessed at Rs. 27,69,447/-. She also seeks some time have let this Court know regarding the status of payment of the said amount to the petitioners. The prayer is allowed. The learned counsel for respondent No. 1 & 2, as well as respondent No.5 shall let this court know by filing an affidavit before the next date, regarding the status of payment of the aforesaid amount to the petitioners, in pursuant to the orders passed by the Writ Court. Let this matter be listed again after 2 weeks.
