07.08.2024 Heard Mr. K. Eshi, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. A. Apang, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Ms. N. Anju, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 2, 3 and 4 /NERIST. Page No.# 2/2 The present writ petition has been filed assailing an advertisement No. 1/2022 dated 21.03.2022 issued by the NERIST for filling up inter alia post of Assistant Professor in "Physics". Mr. Apang, learned Senior Counsel appearing for NERIST submits that during the pendency of this writ petition, the institution i.e. NERIST, cancelled the advertisement No. 01/2022 dated 24.05.2024, as the recruitment process could not be completed within the stipulated period of six months in terms of an Office Memorandum dated 11.01.2026 issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India. In view of such decision, nothing survives to be adjudicated in this writ petition as on date. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands closed being infructuous. Needless to say that the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach this Court for any subsequent cause of action that may arise regarding the selection in question. A copy of the communication dated 07.06.2024 addressed to Mr. A. Apang, learned Senior Counsel, by the Registrar, NERIST is kept on record and marked as document "X".
