¶2The present application has been instituted by the applicant herein praying for privilege of bail under Section 438 of the Cr.P.C.,1973 apprehending his arrest in connection with purported inquiry carried out in the matter by the Special Branch of the State and wherein he was directed to appear vide WT Message dated

27.03.2024.

¶3Mr. T. Ete, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instruction has submitted that the Superintendent of Police, Shi-Yomi District vide WT Message dated 10.05.2024, has informed him that there is no case registered against the petitioner herein in the said district. And accordingly, Mr. Ete, submits that the apprehension raised by the petitioner in the present proceeding is clearly misplaced. Mr. Ete, further submits that that he has also received instruction from the SP (Special Branch) which again indicates that no case has also been registered against the petitioner by the Special Branch in the matter.

¶4In view of the above position, the present application for anticipatory bail is not further considered inasmuch as there is no case registered till date against the petitioner herein wherein he would be under a threat of being detained.

¶5Accordingly, the anticipatory bail application stands closed. Page No.# 3/3
