ORDER Date : 03-09-2024 Heard Mr. K. Saxena, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. O. Pada, learned Special Public Prosecutor for the SIC (Vigilance).

¶2This is an application under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, praying for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, namely, Smti Karpi Geyi Nyigyor, in connection of SIC (Vigilance) P.S. Case No. Page No.# 2/2 19/2024, registered under Sections 7 & 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

¶3The voluminous F.I.R. alleges that the petitioner demanded bribe from a contractor in his department. The F.I.R. was lodged on 15.01.2024 and the case was registered on 14.08.2024.

¶4After going through the Case Diary, it is found that the investigation is at initial stage. At this stage, the investigating Officer should be given sometime to investigate the case. Therefore, at this stage, the present bail application is found to be devoid of merit and stands dismissed, accordingly.

¶5The Anticipatory Bail Application stands dismissed and disposed of, accordingly.
