Learned counsel for the respondent-Himachal Road Transport Corporation has placed on record office instructions dated 29.09.2026 (which is taken on record in CWP No. 17398 of 2026). These instructions, inter alia, convey that Board of Directors of respondent-Corporation, in its meeting convened on 19.06.2023, vide Item No.153.07, had approved revision of pension/family pension of pre-2016 retirees at 50% and 30%, respectively, of the levels of Pay Matrix; The Board had specifically decided that benefit of revision of pension/family pension would be made effective for actual payment from July, 2023

1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. onwards; Fixation/revision was to be made notionally w.e.f.

01.01.2016, whereas actual monetary benefits were made admissible from July 2023, onwards.

2.

Office instructions are also to the effect that the respondent-Corporation has accordingly implemented office letter dated 22.07.2023 (Annexure P-1) inasmuch as revised pensionary benefits have already been released to the eligible pensioners on actual basis w.e.f. July, 2023 onwards.

3.

As per the office instructions, regarding petitioners' claim for arrears for the period 01.01.2016 to

30.06.2023, no decision as yet has been taken by the Board of Directors of respondent-Corporation for release/payment of such arrears, even though notional fixation of pension has been carried out w.e.f. 01.01.2016 for releasing the admissible arrears to the eligible pensioners including the petitioners from July, 2023 onwards.

In view of above, these writ petitions seeking implementation of Annexure P-1, office letter dated
