WP 1901/2026

Judgment

ORDER Aggrieved by the appointment of the 5th respondent for the post of Independent Member for the consumer grievances redressal Forum (CGRF), Puducherry, the petitioner has preferred this writ petition.

¶2The only ground taken by the petitioner is that the 5th respondent served as a member of the redressal forum of two different occasions. The petitioner is aggrieved that the 5th respondent was granted third term. This contention is liable to be rejected outright for the simple reason that the petitioner has not produced any materials to show that a candidate cannot be considered for more than two time as member of redressal forum. Both the petitioner and 5th respondent had undergone the same selection process. Just because the 5th respondent emerged victorious, his candidature cannot be questioned just because he has held the said post on two occasions before. The writ petition is devoid of merits and the same is dismissed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 28-01-2026 rli Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes To
