Judgment

ORDER Asserting that the petitioner's paternal grandfather purchased an extent of

2.46 acres in Survey No.370/4 Ayanperayur Village under Sale deed dated

10.02.1975 bearing Document No.305 of 1975, the petitioner has approached this Court by submitting representations seeking action under Section 83 of the Registration Act, 1908.

¶2Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for respondents 1 to 3. Referring to the petition dated 20.08.2025 under Section 83 of the Registration Act, he points out that the petitioner is complaining about Document No.913 of 2011, Document No.3 of 2018, Document No.5245 of Page3 of 4 2024 and the like. He points out that the registering officer does not have the power of cancellation.

¶3As submitted by learned Special Government Pleader, the registering officer does not have the power of cancellation. Besides, the petitioner has submitted representations in August 2025 in respect of registrations made from the year 2011. No acceptable explanation for the inordinate delay is contained in the affidavit in support of the writ petition. In these circumstances, no useful purpose would be served in directing consideration of the petitioner's representation. Leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional civil court, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 19-02-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order RNA To
