Judgment

ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs: "directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioners representation dated 24.7.2025 by conducting a proper and lawful assessment of unauthorised tapping of electricity by the 6th respondent for streetlights erected in Uthukadu village Panchayat, in accordance with law.

¶2The main grievance of the Petitioner is that, despite submitting several complaints regarding the erection of streetlights without proper service connections and their being powered through unauthorized tapping of electricity directly from distribution poles in localities including J.S. Nagar, Dr. Detroy City, and Vijaya Garden, and despite submitting a representation dated

24.07.2025 regarding the same issue, which was forwarded by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent on 08.08.2025 with a direction to dispose of the same within a period of 30 days, the same has not been disposed of to date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

¶3Heard the learned counsel on either side.

¶4It is seen that though the 1st respondent had issued a direction to the 2nd respondent as early as 08.08.2025 to dispose of the petitioner's representation within 30 days, the same has not been disposed of to date. Hence, Page4 of 6 the Writ Petition is allowed and the 2nd respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 24.07.2025 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 02-02-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order SHR Page5 of 6 To
