COMMON ORDER The issue that arises in these writ petitions are one and the same. Accordingly, these writ petitions are disposed of by way of this common order.

¶2The case of the petitioners is that they applied for the post of Grade-II Constable Jail Warden and Fireman, pursuant to the Notification issued by the respondents and they successfully cleared the written examination. Subsequently, the respondents conducted physical measurement tests on various dates, where the petitioners were disqualified for failing to meet the minimum height requirement of 171 cm for males and 159 cm for females. Challenging these disqualification slips, the petitioners have filed these writ petitions.

¶3When these matters were taken up, learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the case of similarly situated persons had already been dismissed vide order of this Court, dated 23.02.2026 made in W.P. No.7020 of 2026 and therefore, these writ petitions are liable to be dismissed in terms of the said Page7 of 9 order.

¶4Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

¶5The issue involved herein has been dealt with and negatived by this Court in W.P. No.7020 of 2026, dated 23.02.2026 and the operative portion of the said order is quoted hereunder for ready reference :- "6. The petitioners have applied for the post of Grade-II Police Constable and successfully cleared the written examination. However, they were disqualified during the Physical Efficiency Test for failing to meet the prescribed height requirements. It is pertinent to note that, pursuant to the directions issued by this Court in W.A.No. 828 of 2020 dated

05.02.2020, all physical measurements were conducted using digital electronic devices. As the measurements were recorded electronically, the possibility of manual error or variation is ruled out. Furthermore, subject matter experts have confirmed that the petitioners do not possess the requisite minimum height. Therefore, the relief sought by the petitioners cannot be granted. In the result, these writ petitions are dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed."

6.The issue being no longer res integra as it stands squarely covered by the decision of this Court supra, these petitions are liable to be dismissed. Therefore, the claim of the petitioners are rejected in the light of the Page8 of 9 observations made in W.P. No.7020 of 2026.
