Judgment

ORDER The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to grant approval of the petitioner's appointment as Primary School Teacher in the second respondent school with effect from the date of her appointment, i.e., 15.06.2009 and grant her all consequential benefits within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

¶2The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was initially appointed as a Primary School Teacher on consolidated pay on 15.06.2009 and she has been working continuously in the said School from 15.06.2009. A regular vacancy occurred on the retirement of one Mr.J.Alphonse on 30.06.2011. Hence, the School Management sent a proposal for approval as early as on

07.12.2011, and the petitioner has also made a representation to the first respondent on 15.12.2025. However, the first respondent has not approved the appointment of the petitioner till date despite the availability of a sanctioned post. Challenging the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed. Page2 of 4

¶3Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader (Pondicherry) for respondent No.1.

¶4Since no adverse order is going to be passed in this Writ Petition, notice to respondent No.2 is dispensed with.

¶5Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the proposal sent by the second respondent School dated 07.12.2011 and the representation of the petitioner dated 15.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

¶6With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 05-03-2026 Asi Page3 of 4
