Sunnath Jamath Masjid and v. The Collector

ORDER This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents herein to consider petitioners representation dated 30.01.2026 and consequently direct the 1 to 3 respondents to take appropriate action to safeguard the petition mentioned Waqf property from being encroached.

¶2It is the case of the petitioner that the petition mentioned properties are registered with the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board in the name of the petitioner Masjid are encroached, hence, for removal of encroachment, the petitioner has made a representation dated 30.01.2026 to the respondents 1 to 3, however, no action is forthcoming. Hence, this writ petition.

¶3By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

¶4Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition and this Court without going into merits of the case directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law after giving notice and affording proper opportunity of hearing to the parties interested. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of tweleve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
