Judgment

ORDER This petition filed seeking to quash the impugned order passed by the 3rd respondent dated 16.08.2016 and Consequently, direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide suitable employment assistant to the petitioner under the land loser employment scheme pursuant to acquisition of land belonging to the petitioners grandfather Marimuthu in Survey No.689/1, PN Patti Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District by considering the petitioners representation dated 28.01.2026.

¶2It is the case of the petitioner that his grandfather was the original owner of the land measuring 2.91 acres in S.No.689/1 PN Patti Village, Mettur Page3 of 6 Taluk, Salem District which was acquired by the Government in the year 1987 for ash dumping yard purposes and at the time of acqusition, the Government assured employment assistance to one eligible member of the land loser's family in terms of G.O.Ms.No.656 dated 29.06.1978 and though compensation was paid, employment assistance was not granted to the petitioner's grandfather's family and instead, the respondents illegally granted employment to the 4th respondent, who is merely a purchaser of a portion of the property and not a family member of the original land loser and the petitioner's grandfather approached this Court in WP.no.15242 of 2015, wherein this Court directed the respondents to consider his representation.
