ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Page2 of 4 herein to grant permission to enter into new Rental Agreement and / or permit the petitioner to take all his things form the petition premises viz., Shop in Mosque Complex, bearing Door No.2/1109 situated at I Main Road, Mahatma Gandhi Nagar, Vettuvankani, Thoraipakkam, Chennai-600 115 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2025, within a period as stipulated by this Court.

¶2Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

¶3It is the case of the petitioner that he entered into a rental agreement dated 14.06.2025 with the President/Mr.S.H.Ansar Basha of Wakf namely, Anjumanane Ithihathe Islam Trust for 11 eleven months for a monthly rent of Rs.5000/- and carrying on his business from then. While so, on 25.11.2025, the Wakf Board officials came to his premises and sealed the premises as per the resolution of the Board dated 24.06.2025 which was published in Tamil Nadu Gazette on 13.08.2025 but the petitioner was not aware of the same. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 27.11.2025 to the respondent requesting either for a new rental agreement or to permit him to take all his belongings from the subject premises, however, there was inaction on the part of the respondent and therefore, the present Writ Petition. ¶4In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.11.2025 and to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
