ORDER By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

¶2This petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to permit us to conduct the special pooja of muskunda sagasrama archana as fixed and proposed on 05.04.2026 like as usual we have been performing this ritual for more than 40 years in the first event at Arulmigu Thiyagaraja Swamy Thirukovil at Tiruvarur.

¶3It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is the strong devotee of Arulmigu Thiyagaraja Swamy Temple, Tiruvarur. He along with group of fifty members have been performing the special pooja of Muskunda Sagasrama Archana at the subject temple during the Azhi Cart festival celebrated every year in the Tamil month of Panguni and for the current year, the same is fixed to be performed on 05.04.2026 and the petitioner has paid the prescribed special fees of Rs.40,000/- on 09.03.2026 through Indian Bank, Tiruvarur Branch to the temple's bank account and the same was communicated to the temple authorities on 09.03.2026 itself, however, the same has not been considered. Hence, seeks for a direction.

¶4Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

¶5Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and since the conducting of special pooja is scheduled on 05.04.2026, this Court without going into merits of the case directs the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.03.2026 on or before 03.04.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the interested parties.
