COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) WP No.15721 of 2023 styled as 'public interest litigation' has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to conduct public auction of the right to harvest mango and coconut trees lying in S.F.No.430/1A1 at Nandhiyalam Lake, Nandhiyalam Village Panchayat, Ranipet District.

¶2Learned State Counsel submitted that auction is conducted every year. However, there are no bidders and no one has participated. Learned State counsel has also produced one such auction notice dated 26.04.2023.

¶3In view of the above, the grievance expressed by the petitioner stands addressed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed.

¶4WP No.14600 of 2023 challenges the auction, which has now rendered infructuous due to efflux of time. The writ petition therefore stands dismissed.
