Judgment

ORDER (Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeks a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to constitute a team of experts to inspect and file a report, with regard to the alleged excess excavation made by the eighth respondent in the subject lake.

¶2Learned State counsel informs that the lease granted in favour of the eighth respondent has been cancelled. Respondent No.8 has already filed writ petition in WP No.15223 of 2026, challenging the said cancellation and the learned Single Judge has issued notice to the respondents and sought their reply.

¶3Since the issue is pending before the learned Single Judge, we are not inclined to entertain this petition at this stage. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach the learned Single Judge by filing appropriate application.

¶4With this liberty, this petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP Nos.19217 and 19214 of 2026 are closed. (SUSHRUT ARVIND DHARMADHIKARI, CJ.) (G.ARUL MURUGAN, J.)
