ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant retrospective promotion, refix his seniority and extend consequential service and monetary benefits to the petitioner.
¶2The petitioner was eligible for promotion to the post of Regional Transport Officer in the 2012-2013 panel, but his name was omitted due to pending disciplinary proceedings. Though his immediate junior was promoted, the petitioner was subsequently fully exonerated and the charges against him were dropped by G.O.(D).No.560 dated 06.06.2019. Despite recommendations for retrospective promotion and restoration of seniority, no orders were passed. Consequently, his seniority was not revised, adversely affecting his further promotional prospects, including consideration for promotion to the post of Deputy Transport Commissioner. Further, the petitioner submitted representations to the respondents. However, no action has been taken so far. Hence, the present writ petition. Page2 of 5
