¶2The learned counsel for the petitioners, pleading innocence on the part of the petitioners and false implication in the case, seeks indulgence of this Court. He would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioners, a case in Crime No.123 of 2026 has been registered by the respondent police against the de facto complainant for the offences punishable under Sections 296(b), 115(1) and 351(3) of BNS r/w Section 3 of the TNPPDL Act. He would also submit that the petitioners are ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this court.
¶3The case of the prosecution as put forth by the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police, opposing for grant of anticipatory bail, is that due to a dispute with regard to an election, a quarrel arose between the petitioners and the defacto complainant and his associates. During the said quarrel, both parties have abused and assaulted each other. He would further submit that it is a case of case and counter.
¶4Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record. Page3 of 5
