¶2In response to the allegation made, first respondent District Collector has filed a status report, inter alia stating that pursuant to the application filed by third respondent, permission was already granted under Rule 44 of the Tamil Nadu Minor Mineral Concession Rules, for reclamation of his agricultural patta land and subsequent transportation of 6525 cubic meters of earth from his patta lands for a period of 90 days from 19.02.2026 to 19.05.2026 vide proceedings dated 19.02.2026.

¶3Learned Government Pleader submits that though such an order was granted, due to the objections raised by the adjoining land owners, third respondent was unable to remove the earth and therefore, filed an application seeking renewal of the order and the same is pending consideration before the Revenue Divisional Officer,

¶4Learned counsel for petitioners submits that when the application of third respondent seeking renewal is considered, the adjacent land owners may also be heard before final decision is taken.
