Judgment
ORDER By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
¶2This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents herein to remove the cement road unlawfully laid on the petitioners patta land at Survey Nos.183/9 and 10 at Pakkoor village, Seyyur Taluk, Chengalpattu District and to relay the said road on both sides of the street in accordance with the government survey records and to restore the drinking water connection to the petitioners house.
¶3It is the case of the petitioner that he is the absolute owner of the subject land. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the Veerabogam Grama Panchayat unlawfully caused a cement road to be laid encroaching upon his patta land without the petitioner's consent and initiating any acquisition proceedings. After various complaints, the respondents 3 and 4 forwarded the petition to the fifth respondent seeking to take full remedial action and submission of a report. However, no order is passed till date. Hence, this writ petition.
¶4Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the fifth respondent to conclude the proceedings dated 19.08.2025 and 21.08.2025 issued by the respondents 3 and 4/Revenue Divisional Officers concerned and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
¶5Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. 17-06-2026 dhk Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes To
