ORDER Heard.

¶2This application has been filed under Order XIV Rule 8 of the Original Side Rules, read with Sections 151 and 152 of the Code of Civil Procedure, seeking correction of the dates of the Sale Deed referred to in paragraphs 2 and 3 of the order dated 14.08.2023 passed in O.P. No. 598 of 2022.

¶3The applicant states that he was granted probate of the Will dated

12.01.2022, executed by the deceased N.K. Janakiram. According to him, although the date of the Sale Deed was correctly stated as 10.05.1993 in the original petition and the affidavit of assets, it was inadvertently recorded as "10.05.1999" in paragraph 2 and as "10.05.1983" in paragraph 3 of the order dated 14.08.2023.

¶4The corrections sought are clerical in nature and do not alter the substance of the order or the rights of any party. Accordingly, the second line of Paragraph No.2 in order dated 14.08.2023 in O.P. No. 598 of 2022 shall be read as follows; "2…..It was the self acquired property by virtue of a Sale deed dated

10.05.1993…." and the Ex.P.5 referred in Paragraph No.3 of the Order dated 14.08.2023 in O.P. No. 598 of 2022 shall be read as follows; "Ex.P.5 Photocopy of the Sale Deed dated 10.05.1993 executed in favour of Mrs.J.Dharani Devi. (Compared with the original)."

¶5Registry shall make the above corrections in the order dated 14.08.2023. If probate has already been issued, the applicant shall surrender the original grant, after which the Registry shall issue a corrected grant incorporating the above corrections forthwith.
