ORDER The present Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned order dated 30.04.2026, whereby the 3rd respondent refused to adjudicate the General Power of Attorney dated 06.03.2026. Page2 of 5
¶2The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had earlier filed a Writ Petition in W.P. No. 14135 of 2026 seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to adjudicate the said General Power of Attorney. This Court, by an order dated 15.04.2026, directed the 3rd respondent to adjudicate the General Power of Attorney dated 06.03.2026 executed in Malaysia in favour of the petitioner. It is further submitted that despite the explicit directions passed by this Court for the purpose of adjudicating the Power of Attorney executed abroad, the request was rejected, resulting in the issuance of the impugned order dated 30.04.2026. Challenging the same, the petitioner has approached this Court.
¶3Per contra, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that though this Writ Petition was filed on 01.06.2026, the order adjudicating the Power of Attorney was subsequently passed on
10.06.2026. He further submitted that the appropriate stamp duty has been quantified and duly paid by the petitioner. It is also submitted that as and when any subsequent document is presented by the petitioner, the same will be considered and registered in accordance with law. Page3 of 5
¶4Such being the position, no further orders are required in the present Writ Petition since the primary grievance of the petitioner stands redressed by the respondents' adjudication of the Power of Attorney. Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Counsel, this Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. 17-07-2026 Asi To
