ORDER This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "Directing the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 19.11.2025 and to grant the service benefits of petitioners husband to the petitioner, within time fixed by this Hon'ble Court.." Brief Facts:

¶2The petitioner married one R. Prabu on 05.09.2012 at Vadapalani Murugan Temple, Chennai, and the marriage was duly registered. The marriage was an inter-caste marriage, the petitioner belonging to the Scheduled Caste community and her husband belonging to the Kallar community. Owing to the opposition of her husband's family, the couple lived separately in a rented house at Pattukkottai, Thanjavur District. Out of the wedlock, they were blessed with a son, who was born on 28.05.2014.

¶3The petitioner's husband was serving as a Grade-II Warder/Constable Page3 of 5 in the Tamil Nadu Prison Department and was lastly posted at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai. On 12.10.2025, while in service, he died by suicide. Thereafter, the petitioner's in-laws, who had consistently opposed the marriage, obstructed her claim for the terminal and service benefits payable on account of her husband's death.

¶4The petitioner had submitted several representations, the last of which is dated 19.11.2025, requesting the respondents to disburse to her all the service and terminal benefits payable as the legally wedded wife of the deceased employee. Though the said representation was received on 24.11.2025, no orders have been passed to date. Hence, this Writ Petition.

¶5Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records.

¶6Considering the relief sought for by the petitioner and in the absence of any serious objection from the learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the 5th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
