Judgment

Order The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse 6 percent interest for belated payment of Provident Fund, gratuity and earned leave salary and consequently direct the respondents to disburse the D.A. arrears, surrendered leave salary and last 10 days salary within the stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

¶2The case of the petitioner is that he retired from service as a Selection Grade Driver upon attaining superannuation on 30.11.2022. The monetary benefits have been settled to the petitioner only on 22.05.2023 but no interest has been paid for the delayed period. Further, D.A arrears, Surrendered Leave Salary and Last 10 days salary were also not paid. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted representation to the respondents dated 05.06.2026, requesting them to pay interest for the delayed period. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed. Page3 of 5
