ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 27.11.2025.
¶2The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner submitted an online application dated 27.11.2025 to the respondents, requesting them to conduct a survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner's land bearing Plot No. 5, measuring 6,545 sq. ft., comprised in Survey No. 13/1A1, situated at Maduravoyal Village and Taluk, Chennai District, and to issue a patta in the name of the petitioner. However, the same has not been considered Page2 of 5 to date. Challenging this inaction on the part of the respondents, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
¶3The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner had submitted an application only for the issuance of a patta, and no application has been made for conducting a survey.
¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to file a fresh application for conducting a survey of the subject property, demarcating the boundaries, and thereafter, issuing a patta. In the event that such an application is filed by the petitioner, the 3rd and 4th respondents are directed to consider and dispose of the same on its merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of the application.
¶5With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 10-07-2026 Asi Page3 of 5 To
