ORDER This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to exchange the portion of the patta land comprised in S.No.281/1A -18 Ares belonging to the petitioner for Vandi Pathai / Road as per existing condition in lieu of S.No. 281/2-18 Ares classified as Vandi Pathai by executing an Exchange/Gift Deed as per the Standing Orders of the Board of Revenue, thereby saving the petitioner's dwelling house from being demolished.
¶2Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, who is an octogenarian, in connection with the aforesaid prayer sought in this writ petition, addressed a petition dated 12.03.2024 to the second respondent requesting for grant of exchange patta for land in Survey No.281/2 by swapping the existing road in his Survey No.281/1A where the present Vandi Padhai (cart track) exists; this petition was rejected by the sixth respondent vide a report dated 26.04.2024 by wrongly introducing S.No.715 allegedly classified as water body; hence, the petitioner submitted another representation dated 08.02.2025 specifically pointing out that the Standing Orders of the Board of Revenue do facilitate such exchange, which has not yet been considered; hence, this writ petition seeking the aforesaid relief.
