Judgment

ORDER The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.04.2026 within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court. Page2 of 6

¶2The case of the petitioner is that a representation dated 18.04.2026 was submitted to the respondents seeking rectification of erroneous revenue entries. The petitioner claims that the property allotted to him under a registered partition deed dated 24.09.2010, in respect of Old Survey No. 138/4A2 (New Survey No. 270/15), has been wrongly classified and included in Survey No. 270/14 as Natham Poramboke land. The representation seeks to correct the revenue records, effect the necessary mutation, and issue a patta in favour of the petitioner for an extent of 23.42 square metres. Despite the lapse of considerable time, the respondents have not considered the same till date. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for appropriate relief.

¶3Mr. B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents, submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 18.04.2026 would be considered by the 4th respondent, who is the competent authority, and appropriate orders would be passed thereon, on merits within a period of six (6) weeks. ¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.04.2026. The 4th respondent shall pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as any other interested parties and affording them an opportunity of a personal hearing.

¶5With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 22-07-2026 Asi Page4 of 6 To
