ORDER The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to dispose of petitioner's representation dated 19.09.2025 and 07.04.2026.

¶2The case of the petitioner is that he submitted representations dated

19.09.2025 and 07.04.2026 to the 3rd respondent seeking the issuance of a patta for the land under his occupation in S.No. 99/1A in Raja Nagar, Kallakurichi Taluk, Kallakurichi District. However, the same has not been considered till date. Challenging this inaction on the part of the 3rd respondent, the present Writ Petition has been filed. Page2 of 5

¶3Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents, submitted that the representations of the petitioner will be considered seeking issuance of patta excluding the land covered by the road.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent (Tahsildar, Kallakurichi Taluk) to consider the petitioner's representations dated 19.09.2025 and

07.04.2026. The third respondent shall, after issuing due notice to the petitioner and affording him an opportunity for a personal hearing, pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law for issuing a patta for his private land, strictly excluding the land covered by the road, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
