ORDER The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2026. Page2 of 5

¶2The case of the petitioner is that he submitted a representation dated

11.02.2026 to respondents 1 to 4 seeking the cancellation of Patta No. 2494, which was issued in favour of the 5th and 6th respondents for the petitioner's land comprised in S.F. No. 1093 (Old Patta No. 1115) of Irumborai Village, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District, measuring 3.47 acres. The petitioner further requested the authorities to issue a fresh patta jointly in his name and his brothers' names. However, the said representation has not been considered till date. Challenging this inaction on the part of the official respondents, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

¶3The learned Government Counsel appearing for the official respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent is the competent authority to consider the case of the petitioner.

¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the 3rd respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2026. The 3rd respondent shall, after issuing due notice to the petitioner, the private respondents, and any other interested parties, afford them a fair hearing and pass appropriate orders Page3 of 5 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
