Order This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct respondents to consider and dispose of the representation dated 22.06.2026 submitted by the petitioners seeking for appointment of the Special Officer for the due administration management and day to day functioning of the Tamil Nadu Circle Postal Co-operative Bank Ltd having its Principal Office at No.18/19, Jahangir Street, Second Line Beach Road, Chennal 600 001." ¶2The petitioner bank was originally registered and commenced its operations in the year 1913 and is functioning as a cooperative financial institution for the benefits of its members.
¶3The petitioner would submit that from the year 2022, no election has been conducted for constitution of the Board of Directors of the petitioner bank. The bank has been functioning without a duly elected and fully constituted Board of Directors, resulting in serious administrative difficulties. At present, only two Directors are functioning in the bank. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to respondents seeking appointment of a Special Officer for administering the day to day affairs of the bank. Since there is no response the petitioner is before this Court.
¶4Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2026 has not been considered to date, a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
