Judgment

Order This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2026.

¶2Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

¶3By consent of the parties, the main petition is taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself.

¶4The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, a representation was filed by the petitioner before the respondents, requesting them for conducting survey at the subject property and fixing boundary stones therein. However, the representation was not at all considered by the respondents till date. Hence, this petition.

¶5In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondents will conduct survey and also produce the survey Page3 of 5 report within a period of 6 weeks. Hence, she requests this Court to pass appropriate orders.

¶6Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents and also perused the entire materials available on record.

¶7In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the official respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.05.2026 and after issuing notice to all the concerned parties, dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

¶8After the completion of survey, a survey report shall be provided to the petitioner. If the petitioner is not satisfied with the survey conducted by the respondent, he can very well challenge the said survey report before an appropriate Civil Court.

¶9It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondents for conducting survey at the subject land. If there is any dispute with regard to the title/possession over the said property, the same has to be decided only by way of filing a suit before an appropriate Civil Court. Page4 of 5
