ORDER This writ petition is filed to direct the second respondent to consider the petitioners representations dated 19.09.2025 and reminder representation dated
06.07.2026 pursuant to proceedings in O.M.A3/3886/2025 dated 10.11.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2.Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the legal heirs of the late Jamal Muhammed, who died intestate on 11.05.2021, leaving behind certain immovable properties situated at Ugiranur Village, Ulundurpet Taluk, Kallakurichi District. He submits that the revenue authorities issued a joint patta by including only the names of the male legal heirs, completely omitting the names of the female legal heirs. Aggrieved by this, the petitioners submitted a representation dated 19.09.2025 to the District Collector, seeking the inclusion of their names in the joint patta. Pursuant thereto, the 2nd respondent, vide proceedings in O.M. A3/3886/2025 dated 10.11.2025, directed the 3rd respondent to conduct an enquiry and submit a report. The learned counsel further submits that although the enquiry was conducted, no final orders have been passed to date. Consequently, the petitioners submitted a reminder representation dated 06.07.2026, requesting the official respondents to dispose of their earlier representation. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition. Page3 of 5
¶3Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 and submitted that the petitioners' representation dated 19.09.2025 and reminder representation dated 06.07.2026 will be considered within a period of six weeks.
¶4Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
¶5Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 3rd respondent to dispose of the petitioners' representation dated
19.09.2025 and reminder representation dated 06.07.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing due notice and affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the private respondents, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
