Judgment
ORDER By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to respondents 3 to 6 is dispensed with.
¶2The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2026 and to take appropriate action against the 3rd respondent to discharge her statutory duties and functions as a Special Officer under section 34-A of the Tamilnadu Societies Registration Act 1975, in accordance with law, and to take action against respondents 4 to 6 so as to forthwith prevent them from running, managing or otherwise dealing with the affairs, funds and properties of the 2nd respondent Society.
¶3At the outset, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the first respondent would submit that petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2026 is under consideration and as a matter of fact, the first respondent has called for records from the third respondent herein. He would submit that on receipt of the same, appropriate orders would be passed, within a time period to be stipulated Page4 of 6 by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
¶4In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation dated 29.06.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after issuing notice and after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner, respondents 3 to 6 and any other interested persons within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy of the order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views on the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law.
¶5Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 16-07-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order ANU Page5 of 6 To
