ORDER The present writ petition has been filed directing respondents to remove the transformers/structures adjacent to the compound wall of petitioner's property viz., all that piece and parcel of land bearing Old Door No.16, New Door No.17, Cocharane Basin Road, (as per property tax receipt) Door No.52

(34), Old Glass Factory Road, Korukkupet, Chennai 600 021 pursuant to the representations of petitioner dated 10.10.2023 and 07.03.2026.

¶2At the outset, learned Standing Counsel for respondents would submit that petitioner may have to take out an appropriate application. If any such application is made, the same would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with Electricity Act, Rule and Code, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

¶3In that view of the matter, this court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with following directions:

i) It is open to petitioner to submit a fresh application before the respondents. Page3 of 4

ii) If any such application is made, respondents shall consider the same and pass orders, in accordance with Electricity Act, Rule and Code, after affording petitioner and any other interested party an opportunity of hearing, within a period of four weeks from the date of filing of such application.
