Judgment
ORDER This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the third respondent not to interfere in the labour and trade union dispute, not to harass the petitioner and to consider the petitioner's representation dated
08.06.2026.
¶2Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. Perused the materials available on record.
¶3It is seen that there is a dispute between the petitioner and trade union in relation to labour issues. In this regard, the third respondent, without even issuing any summons, conducted an enquiry. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the dispute is a labour dispute between the petitoner and the trade union and therefore, the third respondent has no role to play in the adjudication of such dispute unless any cognizable office is disclosed. ¶5In view of the above, the third respondent is directed not to interfere with the dispute between the labour and the trade union in future. However, if any cognizable office is committed by any person, the third respondent is at liberty to register an FIR and proceed against the persons concerned in accordance with law.
