ORDER This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated
09.07.2026.
¶2Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
¶3A perusal of the representation submitted by the petitioner reveals that the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents not to harass him and not to threaten him with detention under Act 14 of 1982.
¶4On instructions, the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is an accused in two cases and was granted bail on condition that he appear before the third respondent. However, the petitioner failed to cooperate Page3 of 5 with the investigation. It is further submitted that whenever the third respondent insisted on his cooperation with the investigation, the petitioner sent representations to the higher officials, alleging that the third respondent was harassing him under the guise of an investigation.
¶5In view of the above, the representation submitted by the petitioner cannot be considered. Thus, the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Writ Petition (Criminal) stands dismissed. The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the third respondent in the course of the investigation. At the same time, the third respondent is directed not to harass the petitioner beyond the investigation in the cases registered against the petitioner.
