¶2The case of the prosecution is that on 20.06.2026, when the respondent police were on their routine vehicle check up, they found that the petitioner was found to be in illegal possession of 4.51 kgs of banned tobacco products. Hence, the case.

¶3The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the defacto complainant and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that he is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and ready to co-operate with the investigation. Hence, he prayed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

¶4The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that no previous case is pending against the petitioner. However, she opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

¶5I have given my anxious consideration to either side submissions and perused the materials available on record.

¶6Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, from the submissions made by learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), it is seen that petitioner has no criminal antecedent. Hence, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, subject to certain conditions. Page3 of 5

(d) The petitioner shall report before the respondent Police, everyday at 10.30 a.m., for a period of four weeks and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation.
